STEM Con 2025

What is a Game Jam?
The ultimate challenge for aspiring game designers! It’s your chance to put your imagination to the test and create a video game from the ground up in just two months. Whether you’re flying solo or teaming up with friends, it’s all about unleashing your creativity, tackling challenges, and having an amazing time along the way!
How it works:
  1. A Theme Is Revealed: Everyone starts with the same idea, but how YOU interpret it is completely up to you.​
  2. Time Is Ticking: Each team will have roughly 2 months to brainstorm, build, and finish your game. It’s a race against time, but also an adventure in creativity!
  3. Build Your World: You design characters, craft levels, create sounds, and bring your game to life. Don’t worry if it’s your first time—simple is totally fine!
  4. Show It Off: At the end, you share your game at STEM Con 2025 to be judged and potentially earn prizes! 1st Place: $1000 | 2nd Place: $500 | 3rd Place: $250
Your Guide to Getting Started:
  1. Read the Rules and Regulations.
  2. Gather you team (Max 4 per team).
  3. Complete the registration form and send payment (entry fee is $40 per team).
  4. Once registration and payment are received, we will be in contact with you to confirm team details and give further needed information.
  5. The theme will be revealed when the game creation period begins on February 3rd.
