In 2024, STEM It Up Sports reached 2,010 unique participants and delivered more than 5,973 STEM touchpoints. Even more importantly, 90% of youth reported higher confidence in their coding skills—evidence of the lasting impact your support makes possible.

Our programs reach students across the world, from after-school enrichment to STEM competitions, providing safe, engaging spaces for learning and growth. With your support, we can continue to offer these opportunities to all children, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.​

Meeting the Need

The need for equitable STEM opportunities is clear—national and state data highlight the urgent gaps in access, diversity, and representation:

• In 2023, Texas recorded 41,752 vacancies in computer science jobs each month.

• Latina, Black, and Indigenous women represent less than 10% of the STEM workforce. 

• Women constitute 48% of the total workforce but only represent 35% of the STEM workforce.  

• According to the 2023 State of Computer Science Education Report, youth from racial and ethnic groups who are traditionally viewed as excluded from computer science are less likely to attend a school that offers it, thereby decreasing their likelihood of pursuing STEM careers.
