We hold Regional and State tournaments for the Sphero Global Challenge and are always in need of volunteers to help us provide the best programming possible to our participants. OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
STEM It Up Sport offers part time internship opportunities to college aged individuals to help them gain professional experience. Our project-based internship program allows interns to build various projects to ensure the growth of the company. The practicum experience obtained within this internship will add value to future employment.
Interns will engage with Dr. Tonjia Grimble, CEO & Founder of STEM It Up Sports and leader in the community affiliated with organizations such as UNTD, Dallas College, the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, Girls Inc. of Fort Worth, Tarrant County Kids, YMCA of Fort Worth, Fieldhouse USA, and more.
POSITIONS OFFERED
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Primary focus is to develop various projects for programming which would include training presentations, orientation presentations, video content for various programming, research, written communications for internal and external usage, development of assessment and evaluation tools and more. Intern will need skills with Power Point, Apple Software, and data collection.
STEM EDUCATION
Primary focus/project is to engage youth in technology and computer science. Interns will teach students basic coding with a standard curriculum, develop character development instruction, and help with Sphero Computer Science competitions.
EVENT COORDINATOR
Primary focus is to manage and coordinate Sphero Competitions for the Fall and Spring 2023-24 school year. Intern will work with various vendors, stakeholders, partners, and school districts to ensure tournaments are properly executed. Interns will also be responsible for media management and recruitment for all events.

ROBOTICS INSTRUCTOR
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

We're looking for an inspiring and dynamic individual to join our team as an instructor. The successful applicant will be engaging youth students in robotic instruction through the implementation of innovative and effective teaching strategies. We are interested in hiring instructors who are comfortable interacting with a diverse student population and providing a hands-on, practical experience for afterschool programming. The job will introduce block coding for all age levels.
Responsibilities:

Regional Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Regional Coordinator to join our team. The Regional Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting youth to participate in our STEM competitions, fostering relationships with schools, community organizations, and parents, and ensuring the successful execution of events in their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:

Youth Recruitment:

Develop and implement strategies to recruit youth participants for STEM competitions. ​

Conduct outreach to schools, community organizations, and other youth-focused groups to promote participation. ​

Organize and attend events, workshops, and information sessions to engage potential participants and their families.

Partnership Development:

Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, educators, community leaders, and other stakeholders. ​

Collaborate with partners to identify and support potential participants from diverse backgrounds.

Event Coordination:

Plan and coordinate regional STEM competition events, including logistics, scheduling, and resource management.

Ensure events run smoothly and provide a positive experience for all participants.
