Gearing up for Season 5 of the Sphero Global Challenge

As the excitement of summer continues, we at STEM It Up Sports are thrilled for the upcoming season of Sphero Global Challenge: Sphero Time Travelers! This year, students from across the world prepare for a journey of discovery, creativity, and technological innovation. With new challenges, themes, and a brand-new user-friendly registration platform, this season promises to be the most engaging and accessible one yet.

A Glimpse into the Challenge

The Sphero Global Challenge is an annual competition that invites students, educators, and tech enthusiasts from around the world to showcase their skills in robotics and coding. This season, there will be competitions held from Florida to Hawaii, along with international events in Italy, Kuwait, and Australia. For specific dates and to learn more, visit here.

Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a first-time participant, the Sphero Global Challenge offers something for everyone. Educators can use the challenge as a dynamic teaching tool, while students can develop critical STEM skills in a fun and engaging way. Additionally, families and community members can support local teams, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

CEO and Founder of STEM It Up Sports, Dr. Tonjia Grimble, was featured in a recent Forbes article, discussing the social and emotional skills developed through STEM education, including the Sphero Global Challenge.

What's New this Season?

BRAND NEW Registration Platform

Sphero and STEM It Up Sports are excited to introduce a brand new registration platform, designed to make the entry process as smooth as possible. What is now a one-stop shop for everything a coach would need: easily add to and edit their teams, access all required materials, and submit virtual submissions from one platform.

Exciting New Challenges

Season 5 introduces a fresh set of challenges that push the boundaries of creativity and technical skill. From obstacle course navigation to complex problem-solving scenarios, participants will need to harness the full potential of their Sphero robots to succeed. These challenges are designed to inspire innovative thinking and collaboration among team members.
